Comments:  My client could not find the right size of desk to fit her space, and her style, despite a long search. Luckily she did find us. She had her own design in mind for a cozy and unimposing writing space, and we used it to create the perfect writing desk for her.

The desk has four drawers and a small pencil drawer below the writing surface, and a large cabinet for stationary, books and materials attached to the top. The free-floating shelves above the desk were her idea as well, and they create a comfortable and intimate place to write, create--or just pen a note to a friend.

We gave the piece a black lacquer finish, with the open grain of the Red Oak showing through.
