Comments: The space between fireplace and wall was the only spot left for the television in this living room. While a standard cabinet probably would have worked, my customers thought it called for something built specially for the space.
They designed the piece themselves, to include space for the television at the perfect viewing height. Behind the bevelled-glass doors below, shelves hold all the "gadgets" and media that go along with it. There is even space above for some treasured knick-knacks.
We built and installred the entertainment center, which we fitted to within an inch of the available space. The finish is a black satin lacquer, which displays the coarse grain of the wood underneath.
They are all happy with the result, expecially the smallest family member, who thinks it is very entertaining indeed.
